Gazelles are nature’s beautiful creators. Only to be surpassed in speed by the magnificent Cheetah. The Gazelle and Cheetah co-exist until one beats the other in the race of survival. The average speed of a gazelle is 45 miles per hour, while a cheetah can run at 60 miles per hour. The prey does not stand a chance before the predator, owing to the high speed of attack. Yet, you will see times when the gazelle escapes and triumphs. In the arid lands, where the temperature is high and water is scares, survival is not only about food, water reserves are low and dry. In such conditions imagine a cheetah sets its eyes on a gazelle. The gazelle takes warning and the chase begins. You think any moment the prey will be in the embrace of the predator, but the gazelle is quick and gives the cheetah a tough match. Finally, the cheetah gives up. Why does it give up? When the Cheetah is running at 60 miles per hour, its metabolic rate increases the body temperature and high heat is generated, almost 40° C. At this point the cheetah’s brain heats to the same temperature and if it does not stop, it can be dangerous for the cheetah. The gazelle has the ability to keep its brain temperature almost 2 degrees lower than its body. Hence, it can continue running while the cheetah gives up. Talk about keeping calm in difficult situations. If a steady and calm mind, let’s put it as a positive mind, can save the life of the gazelle and beat the powerful cheetah, will not a Positive Mind save us in difficult situations. Many fights, competitions and issues are between people of unequal strengths. It does not matter who is stronger or powerful, all that matters is who stays strong till the end. Sometimes you just have to Outlast the others.
